How to Set Up an Activated Account on PlayStation 4

If your PlayStation 4 already has another profile, but you need to add a new one with activation, follow the steps below.

Step 1: Create a New User

Turn on your PlayStation 4 console.
On the main screen, select "New User".
Then choose "Create a User" and accept the agreement.

Step 2: Sign In to Your PlayStation Network (PSN) Account

Select the "Sign In to PSN" option.
Enter the email address and password of the account you received.
Once signed in, wait for the system to load your account information.

Step 3: Activate the Account as Primary on the Console

Note: Activating the profile as primary allows other users on this console to access its content.

Go to "Settings" on the main screen of your console.
Select "Account Management".
Choose "Activate as Your Primary PS4".
Click "Activate". If the console asks for confirmation, confirm the action.

Step 4: Downloading Games and Content from the Activated Account

Go to the Library on the console’s main screen.
Select the "Purchased Content" section.
Download the games and content available on your profile.

Step 5: Switching Between Accounts

To switch between digital games:

Press and hold the PS button on your controller.
Select "Power" → "Switch User".
Choose the profile you want to switch to.

Ensure you have a stable internet connection during activation;
You will have access only to the part of the profile you purchased (with or without activation);
It is prohibited to modify or share the provided data with third parties;
