How to Set Up an Account with Activation on PlayStation 5

If you want to add and activate an additional PlayStation Network (PSN) account on your PlayStation 5 where another profile already exists, follow the step-by-step guide below.

Step 1: Create a New User on the Console

• Turn on your PlayStation 5 console.
• From the main screen, select your profile icon in the top-right corner.
• Select "Add User".
• Accept the terms of use by clicking "Accept".

Step 2: Sign In to an Existing PlayStation Network (PSN) Account

• After creating the new user, select "Sign In".
• Enter the email address and password for the PSN account you received.
• Once signed in, wait for the account data to sync.

Step 3: Activate the Account as the Primary on the Console

Note: Activating the account will allow all other users on this console to access its games and content.

• Go to "Settings" from the main menu.
• Select "Users and Accounts".
