How to Set Up a Non-Activated Account on PlayStation 4

If you need to add a PlayStation Network account to your PlayStation 4 console without activating it as the primary account, follow the steps below.

This method is suitable if you want to play using this profile
(other users will not have access to this profile's games).

Step 1: Create a New User

Turn on your PlayStation 4 console.
On the main screen, select "New User".
Then choose "Create a User" and accept the terms of use.

Step 2: Sign In to an Existing PSN Account

After creating the profile, select "Sign In to PSN".
Enter the email address and password of your account.
Click "Sign In" and wait for the process to complete.

Step 3: Skip Activation as the Primary System

After signing in, the system may prompt you to activate the account as primary.
